Patrick Lyons, CMT

Patrick Lyons is the President and Founder of Lyons Den Capital, and has over 25 years of experience proudly serving the Raleigh/Durham region and beyond as a financial analyst and portfolio manager. He is extremely dedicated to his craft and his clients, providing personalized, customized financial services to those who put their trust in him to guide them to a successful financial future.
As a Chartered Market Technician (CMT), Patrick is trained to analyze the market by reviewing charts and graphs to identify trends, rather than relying on the static numbers of financial statements. This form of technical analysis allows for objective, impartial, highly-informed decision making as it relates to stock performance in the stock market for portfolio development.
Patrick has also successfully completed and continues to fulfill the requirements for the Series 3, Series 63 and Series 65 exams, which are exams that cover state securities and registered investment advisory laws. His expertise ranges from managing institutional and personal portfolios to analyzing various economic sections of the stock market.
An avid writer and author, Patrick has published two books called Map Your Financial Future: Starting the Right Path in Your Teens and Twentiesand Map Your Financial Freedom: Charting a Course Through Adulthood and Retirement. His expertise on investments and personal finance has been sought on many occasions from organizations such as Bloomberg Radio, Black Enterprise Magazine, Wall Street Transcript and numerous other publications, and radio and TV shows.
Patrick taught business finance at Wake Technical Community College and continues to book professional speaking engagements, holding workshops and seminars on personal finance for several schools and professional organizations. He is a member of the Triangle East Chapter of the 100 Black Men of America where he serves as treasurer, and he is also a proud life member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
